Meet Courtwarming candidate Charlie Davis

How did you ask your escort to Courtwarming?
We were walking backstage, and I said, ‘Do you want to be my escort?’
What were your immediate thoughts after hearing your name in the nominations?
I was excited, but I was hesitant to put my face in nasty stuff like they sometimes make the candidates do.
What Courtwarming activity do you look forward to the most?
I think the assembly is a lot of fun. I always have fun at the assemblies.
What school activities do you participate in? What accomplishments have you had in these activities?
Choir, show choir, musical theater, acting and Student Council. For choir we made it into a big conference last year [Missouri Music Educators Association], so that was a big accomplishment. And show choir made it to nationals last year, and that was fun. And I’m vice president for Student Council, so that’s an accomplishment.
How do you think you would exemplify Courtwarming king if you won?
I don’t know; I do a lot of things around school, and I’m very active, so that’s probably good.
How have you made the school a better place?
That’s debatable. I don’t know. Here and there, I pick up liter once in a while.
What are your dreams and aspirations?
I want to get a master’s degree in music education and become a music teacher.
What is your most embarrassing high school memory?
Back during junior year, I was running for vice president, and I made these stickers that said, ‘Vote for Charlie Davis because he loves you’ and people took them and put them on bathroom stalls and wrote extra stuff on them to make them very vulgar. That was a little embarrassing.
What is your favorite RBHS moment so far?
I think Providence Bowl this year. It was the first time I was able to sit in the student section, and it was a ton of fun.
