The boysgolf team finished a beautiful day at the golf course on Monday, April 15, walking off the green with the feeling of accomplishment and a big win under their belt.
They played in Jeff City at the Meadowlake golf course, and nearly all the players managed to place, helping the Bruins take hold of the Helias Invitational Tournament. The boys have played in multiple tournaments this season with five  wins already this season.
As a team, the Bruin varsity team took first and JV took second. Individually, senior Will Echelmeier placed first, senior Austin Evens  second, freshman Jack Knoesel got third, senior Scott Coefelt got fifth, senior Harry Schauwecker got sixth, freshman Matt Echelmeier got seventh, and sophomore Jackson Dubinski placed ninth.
“Feels good to place first,” Echelmier said. “I just go to keep going better.”
With only a couple more tournaments before distracts start, the Bruins are focusing on keeping their game finely tuned and learning from the strategies that have helped them so far this year.
“I think we have the opportunity to perform very well at state,” Will Echelmeier said
