Meet Eli Sherman, candidate for student body president

Eli+Sherman+will+lead+the+student+body+as+president+next+year.
Eli Sherman will lead the student body as president next year.

Why are you running for this position?
Because I feel like Rock Bridge has such a cool culture and unique spirit about it that I want to keep it going and give it the ability to thrive and push on.
What impact do you hope to make while in office?
Be able to include the whole student body of Rock Bridge for homecoming, courtwarming.
What have you done to campaign?
Nothing yet.
What makes you qualified for the position?
I’ve been in student council for two years now, so I know how it’s run. I’m junior class president, and I’ve been in a couple different leadership positions.
What qualities do you have that would make you a good candidate for the office?
I feel like I have a leadership personality. I feel like people will look up to me for guidance. I feel like I can show them the ropes and help them out. I’m fairly organized and I hate underachieving.
What politician do you model your approach after?
I have no idea.
Where do you see yourself politically in 10 years?
I have no idea there either.
How are you reaching out to the community to help your campaign.
Everything Student Council does is for the community, for Rock Bridge students. We do a lot of volunteer work. Like this Thursday, we’re doing a clean-up for RB – I don’t remember what group it’s for. I’ll continue to help reach out with the other clubs and see what they want support for with their ideas and passions.
What are your ideas on the playground additions on the north side of school?
The playground addition?
What do you think the student body is looking for in a candidate?
Organization, just someone who’s going to be there and has a presence among the rest of the Student Council and student body.
