I’ve become an expert at classroom window shopping. What I mean is this — I waltz by classrooms, awkwardly peek through the window for an outfit that catches my eye and skip away when some wary student cocks his/her eyebrow at me. Today, however, I was met not by judging glances, but by a kind smile from senior Sarah Dweik. She and several biology students were working on a project together, and I was encouraged by her sweater and leggings combo. I called her name, and she became our Style of the Week.

Style: “Comfortable and cute”

Sweater: From England, belongs to mother

Necklace: Macy’s

Shirt: JCPenney

Leggings: Macy’s

Shoes: Shoe Carnival

Bracelet: Macy’s

Glasses: EyeMart Express

Favorite store: JCPenney

Best buy: Cream heels received over Christmas break for $20

Budget: Never more than $40 for an outfit, 2 to 3 times a month

“I just try to make sure [my outfit] goes together,” Dweik said. “I try to make it a little edgy … I alter some of my clothes to try to make them look different. I try to make it look good.”
