Boys’ and girls’ cross country teams finish second, fourth on state championship podium

The 2021 Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) Class 5 girls and boys cross country state championships took place Friday, Nov. 5, at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course, and both teams achieved podium finishes, with the boys coming out in second place and the girls finishing in fourth.

In the fifth game of the RBHS football season, the Bruins hosted a loss against a well-oiled Helias Catholic High School (HCHS) football team Friday Sept. 24. The game was hard fought, but ultimately a chain of mistakes from the home team led to a 13-34 loss.

Bruins football beats Smith-Cotton in one-sided game

In the first home game of the 2021 football season, the Bruins handed Smith-Cotton High School (SCHS) a 50-0 loss, demonstrating home field advantage. Coming off a tough loss to Staley High School (SHS) on Friday Aug. 27, the Bruins delivered a game full of both offensive and defensive plays in front of a roaring crowd, ending in a win for RBHS.

The RBHS girls’ basketball team took on Capital City high school on Thursday, Jan.14. After making several adjustments to their playing strategy during the game to adapt to the other team’s plays, the girls won 60-21.
