Where art meets journalism on the silver screen

Where+art+meets+journalism+on+the+silver+screen

[vimeo url=”https://vimeo.com/122597270″ width=”580″ height=”380″] This year, thirteen students from RBHS attended the True/False Boot Camp, which is a free program that allows students to get involved in the festivities of the True/False Film Festival. After filling out applications outlining their interests, chosen students commence the boot camp a few months before the festival even begins. Divided into interest groups of Art, Film, Journalism, Music and Storytelling, students spend meetings prior to the festival learning how to watch film for more than just entertainment. Then, in the days of the festival, students journey between films and interviews with directors, delving deeper into the world of documentary making and all the while exploring film in the context of their interests.

I really liked the video, but it took me awhile to figure out it was a video, because there was no play button or anything that made me think to click on it.
