The football team narrowly lost to Rockhurst High School 10-9 Friday,  Nov. 3. The game, played on the Hawklets’ field, cost the Bruins the chance to move on in state competition. The Bruins lead the Hawklets until the final 1:07 when Rockhurst made a 30-yard field goal for the final points of the night. These photos  show the reaction of those on the field as the clock was winding down on the game. What was a happy beginning ended in a disappointing loss. The only other time the Bruins faced the Hawklets earlier in the season they lost 35-6.
