All the pretty lights

The first photo I took: I was curious where I could put the light.

The second, I decided to have it escaping from a closet!

I decided to try a self portrait for my third shot, but they all turned out really terrifying.

I went into my room for the fourth one and found a piece of string to swing my light around.

I liked the way the swinging light made circles in the air, so I went back to the stairs for my fifth photo.

And that was enough of lines. For the sixth, I wanted to play around with little "sparks" of light.

It was cool, but missing a background. So, for my final shot, I added in a little extra light reflected against my ceiling. Mission accomplished!

For today’s photo blog, I decided to play around with long exposure: leaving a camera’s sensor open for much longer than a typical photograph would. Instead of 1/60 to 1/125 of a second as usual, I left the shutter open for 20 to 30 seconds, long enough to play around with what the camera thinks it’s seeing.
