“Trump and Kim Jung Il is going to have massive impact on the media. Everyone is going to say this is bad or this is good. I personally think it’s good. Yes, [the meeting will push us closer to denuclearizing North Korea] but I think Russia will also have a big part saying if that’ll happen or not cause they’re the ones that are making a bigger deal about that. I’ve seen Russia with nore [nuclear weapons] than I have with North Korea lately.” – Grant Crocket, senior

President Donald Trump plans to meet with North Korea leader Kim Jung Un Wednesday, Feb. 27 and Thursday, Feb. 28. The two will congregate in Hanoi, Vietnam for a one-on-one meeting.
This is the first time the pair have met since last June when they held a summit in Singapore. The two had discussed the denuclearization of North Korea during their last meeting, along with the withdrawal of U.S. troops from South Korea and stopping the large military practice exercises with South Korea. Kim is also expected to ask for relief from U.S. sanctions
Since their last encounter, Kim has shown little sign he intends to take concrete steps toward denuclearization. Members of Trump’s administration – including Dan Coats, the director of national intelligence – have said Kim views his nuclear arsenal as critical for survival.
Trump has predicted a continuation of progress between the relationship between the United States and North Korea.
