on the university bribing scandal involving high-profile stars

Over 40 people, including Shameless actor William H. Macy and Desperate Wives star Felicity Huffman, were implicated in an illegal college admissions scam this weekend. With some families paying totals like $6,500,000, these parents allegedly made large transactions, dubbed ‘charitable contributions’, in exchange for their children attending schools like Yale and Georgetown. Students attended these colleges as athletes, quitting after a short time or never actually playing a sport.

RBHS students gave their opinions on the effects of wealth in higher education.

Do you think money has too much influence in admissions to elite schools?

This is really unethical! Sad to see money used this way. I wish the money could have been used for a less dirty cause.
