Simple DIY dog costumes

Halloween is nearing, don’t forget your dog in the festivities. Make a cute yet simple and easy costume for all to enjoy.

Summary


¤ Materials for spider ¤

  • Tape
  • Scissors
  • Several pieces of twine
  • Needle and thread
  • Assorted googly eyes
  • Any color fake fur
  • A 6.5 ft black chenille stem, available at Michael’s

¤ Steps for spider ¤

  1. Cut the stem into two equal halves
  2. Sow the halves onto the fur where the spider legs look best
  3. Wrap twine around the “legs” in order to create a secure strap
  4. Put tape on the back of the googly eyes
  5. Dress your dog up

  • Keep on checking to see if it will fit your dog properly
  • Make sure your stitches are tight so that the costume is sturdy

  • Scissors
  • Two pieces of twine
  • A piece of black felt
  • A brown paper bag with money signs drawn on it

∞ Steps for robber ∞

  1. Cut the felt into a mask shape
  2. Measure your dog’s face and cut two holes for the eyes and one for the nose
  3. Cut two holes on both sides of the mask near the edge
  4. Loop the twine through the holes as a strap
  5. Tie the bag to your dog’s collar

  • Make sure your dog is comfortable
  • Check if the mask is symmetrical and fits your dog
